Salão de Turismo Comunitário da América Latina será realizado durante II SITS
A mostra contará com estandes de destinos de turismo comunitário das 12 comunidades participantes da Rede de Turismo Comunitário do Ceará (Tucum) e de localidades como Ponta do Tubarão (RN), Pataxó Coroa Vermelha (BA), Comunidade do Barro Vermelho (PI), Comunidade do Vale do Gramame (PB), Projeto Bagagem (PA), Prudentópolis (PR), Aldeia dos Lagos (AM), Quilombo Campinho (Parati-RJ) e Guamará (RN). O espaço contará ainda com um estande da Bodega, loja solidária de Aracati que ficará responsável pela venda de artesanatos das comunidades durante o evento.
Na programação, haverá apresentações culturais do Maracatu Az de Ouro e das bandas Água de Quartinha, Mambo Jambo e Radiola Reggae.
O evento faz parte da programação do II SITS, realizado pelo Instituto Terramar e pelo Fórum em Defesa da Zona Costeira do Ceará, de 12 a 15 de maio, com o intuito de afirmar o turismo comunitário como estratégia de afirmação da cultura das populações tradicionais, da preservação ambiental e da economia solidária; de dar visibilidade ao debate acerca dos impactos do turismo convencional; e de promover o intercâmbio e articulação em rede de experiências de turismo desenvolvidas a partir das perspectivas de turismo comunitário, solidário e sustentável.
