Documentário "Transposição do rio São Francisco e águas no Ceará - OS CURSOS DA PRIVATIZAÇÃO"
Em 41 minutos e 30 segundos e dividido em 5 partes, o documentário exibe as bacias do rio Salgado e do rio Jaguaribe, com imagens e depoimentos contundentes que revelam os reais interesses do projeto de transposição.

É preciso lutar!
Ontem, ao analisar visivelmente o leito do velho chico, já muito próximo à sua foz, pude comprovar o quão mal tratado e abandonado o rio está sendo. Em Penedo, extremo Baixo São Francisco, sul de Alagoas, pude observar mais uma vez, a situação de descaso e despreocupação para com o rio. pois pode-se observar explicitamente, a grande quantidade de lixo e esgoto doméstico lançados ao rio, cabe dizer ainda, que é bastante perceptível todo o processo de assoreamento do rio, por conta da incessante devastação de suas matas ciliares, o que vem causar enormes ilhas de arêia em partes do seu leito. Em direção ao médio e auto são francisco, em Alagoas, é ainda mais gritante, uma vez que, o que mais se percebe no município de Traipu, por exemplo, é a usência constante de matas ciliares e o lançamento direto de esgoto doméstico e comercial lançados ao rio, portanto, sou e serei até o fim de minha vida, testemunha ocular do que a população e o sistema político vêm fazendo com o rio, porém, com um diferencial de alguns dos demais cidadãos, pois além de estudar o Velho Chico, buscarei unir forças para conscientizar toda a população ribeirinha que eu venha ter alcançe, uma vez que começarei a efetuar de forma consistente os estudos sobre o referido rio. Necessito, portanto do apoio cultural e moral dos colegas que por vez se dedicam a causa do rio São Francisco, para assim podermos tentar melhorar também, as condições de vida da população que careçe tanto dos recursos gerados a partir desse rio. "Lembremos que uma das quetões que envolvem a decadência do rio, é a cultura local, e isto, a meu ver, somente será resolvido a partir de ações conscientizadoras".

Minha imensa solidariedade à causa do luta que não transcende a grandeza do Rio São Francisco, mas além disso denuncia a insensibilidade do capital, do governo e das forças de repressão, à revelia não apenas da justiça, mas à revelia da democracia que se pretende construir neste país. Cumprimento o trabalho que realizam. Solidarizo-me com a revolta de todos e todas que dizem um clamoroso não à continuidade da transposição do Rio São Francisco, e que atenta contra a vida do Frei Luís Capio. Juntar-nos-emos ao Jejum proposto pela CNBB e faremos em nossa universidade o protesto contra as políticas de governo que destróem a vida, o ambiente, e sobretudo, põe um peso maior na vida dos pobres.

Estou solidário ao Frei Luis Capio e a todos que são contra a transposição do Rio São Francisco, devemos nos juntar a este protesto, não se pode alterar para uma região semi-árida natural um rio cujo custo será elevado para os Estados, a possibilidade de abandono é evidente, devia sim nosso governo investir em saneamento basico de esgotos e lixo, controle de empresas poluidoras, revitalizando as margens já degradadas. O semi-árido é um sistema de paisagens naturais, é preciso saber conviver com este sistema! Jogar água pode causar uma catástrofe.
